Thanks to a Georgia Department of Transportation grant, Lilburn will build a multi-use path and pedestrian bridge on U.S. 29 from Killian Hill Road to Postal Way. The Jackson Creek Trail, which was designed in partnership with the Lilburn Community Improvement District, is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2019. Total cost is expected to be $875,000, with the grant covering up to $700,000 and the city contributing $175,000 in SPLOST funds.

The Jackson Creek Trail is one of eight trails identified in the Lawrenceville Highway Urban Design Implementation Study. Once completed, the eight trails will add close to nine miles of trails to the community.
