The city of Milton has scheduled a series of community meetings in October and November to gather public comment for the long-term master plan for the former Milton Country Club, more than 130 acres of open space acquired by the city in February.

“Now that summer is over and Milton households are getting back to a normal schedule, the community planning process is officially kicking off next month,” according to a city announcement.

The following meetings will be from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Milton City Hall, 2006 Heritage Walk: for adjacent property owners Tuesday, Oct. 9; active stakeholders, such as the swim and tennis teams, Wednesday, Oct. 10; city committee stakeholders, Wednesday, Oct. 17; and a city-wide public input session Thursday, Oct. 18. All are open to the public.

A public open house is scheduled for 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, at City Hall. Residents will be able to get a quick update on the community planning process and offer general feedback, officials said. Information: info@cityofmiltonga.us
