The Milton City Council has approved an agreement with Davis Educational Services LLC to offer two STEM-based educational camps this summer at the Bethwell Community Center.

The Parks and Recreation Department facility use agreement has Davis, doing business as Challenge Island, paying a 15 percent commission on registrations to the city, according to a memo to the council by Jim Cregge, director of parks and recreation.

The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) camps are to be held from 9 a.m. to noon June 26-29 and July 24-27 at Bethwell, 2695 Hopewell Rd. Fee is $150 per child.

Residents of Milton and Alpharetta will pay in-district fees, while those from outside the two cities will pay a 50 percent surcharge, to a maximum of $90, the agreement states. The entire balance of the surcharge would go to Milton.
