A Cobb County grand jury has indicted three men police accuse of running a drug operation from the home of a woman with Alzheimer’s disease.
John Franklyn, Gordon Hobday and Thomas Summers were indicted Thursday on charges that include exploiting an elderly or disabled adult and trafficking methamphetamine, court records show.
The woman was 78 years old at the time, according to a police warrant.

They were arrested in November after cops got an anonymous tip about illegal drug activity in the 100 block of Chicopee Drive near Cherokee Street.
At the time, police said officers seized 65 grams of methamphetamine from the Marietta home. They also claimed to have found heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Franklyn and Hobday are listed in court records as living at the home.
“(They) were using the house and taking advantage of the elderly woman who had no understanding of what was happening,” Marietta police Officer Chuck McPhilamy previously said.
Summers is listed as having an Acworth address and, McPhamily said, was more like a guest.
The men’s next court date was not immediately available online.
