Memorial Day weekend means different things to different people.

For some, it’s the first sign of summer, and time to break out the grill and your favorite red, white and blue T-shirt. For others, it’s a time of remembrance and reflection, for those that died while serving in the United States military.

However you celebrate Memorial Day, there’s several events in north Fulton County to help you do that.

Milton Memorial Day Ceremony

On Monday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., folks in Milton will come to together at Freedom Park to “honor those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving their country.” Milton police, fire, city council and local business owners will be attending and the public is invited. The Milton Public Safety Color Guard will present the colors, Bob Kraus will play bagpipes and Jordan Thorne will sing “God Bless America.”
