Marietta names its teacher of the year

MCS Teacher of the Year for 2019 Kristin Lincoln, left, poses with superintendent Grant Rivera

Kristin Lincoln has earned the shiniest apple in all of Marietta City Schools.

She was named the 2019 teacher of the year at the district’s awards luncheon last week.

Lincoln teaches 2nd grade students at Sawyer Road Elementary School.

The other teacher of the year finalists were Jenny Williams, who teaches 4th grade students at the Marietta Center for Advanced Academics, and LaKeasha Clark-McGhee, who teaches 8th grade students math at Marietta Middle School.
