A Mableton man has been indicted for allegedly bringing a gun to South Cobb High School in 2016 as retaliation for a gang fight the day before.
Amarius Norris, who is alleged to have ties to the Bloods gang, was indicted Thursday on charges of carrying a gun on campus and theft, Cobb County court records show.
Norris was 19 years old when police said he brought a stolen Cobra .380-caliber pistol in a black backpack on Oct. 25, 2016. Administrators knew he wasn’t a student and asked him to leave.

A police warrant alleges that Norris brought the gun to school as retaliation for a gang beating of one of his alleged Bloods associates behind the Dollar General on Clay Road in Austell the day before.
The gun was reported as stolen out of Gwinnett County, according to the warrant.
Norris has been in Cobb jail since July 2017 on those charges and others without bond, jail records indicate.
