Metro Atlanta has gained another venue where people can simultaneously paint and drink alcohol in public.
A new Painting with a Twist location held its grand opening Monday in the Edgewood Retail District, at 1230 Caroline St., according to a news release.
It offers BYOB classes led by local artists, where the paint, brushes and materials are provided by the studio.
The franchise studio is owned by Georgia State University alumnus Bianca Barnett and her parents, Michael and Billie Williams. The family opened their first location in Panama City, Florida, four years ago.

Two-hour classes cost $35, three-hour classes are $45 and select “family friendly” classes are offered for $25. Parties for adults or kids can be booked for groups of 10 or more.
Painting with a Twist — which was started by Cathy Deano and Renee Maloney in 2007 in New Orleans — has locations in 39 states. The website lists nine Georgia locations, including ones in Alpharetta, Buckhead, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody and Lawrenceville.
