Lightning struck a home in eastern Gwinnett County during a Sunday afternoon storm, fire officials said.
No one was injured by the lightning strike, which hit a house on Berry Hall Road in Bethlehem.

A resident called 911 after the strike and reported seeing smoke coming from around the home’s chimney.
When a fire crew arrived, there was no sign of smoke or fire, the county fire and emergency services department said. There were no signs of smoke or fire, including charring, in the home’s attic or crawlspace, but a few bricks were displaced inside the chimney.
Public safety officials also responded to two downed trees caused by the early evening thunderstorm.
A tree blocked First Avenue at Elizabeth Way in Lilburn around 5:15 p.m., and Lilburn police and public works removed it. Shortly after 5 p.m., a tree fell at a Duluth home, blocking the front door and taking down a power line. The tree was removed and Georgia Power repaired the downed line.
