Kennesaw changes several facility fees

Many fees and some guidelines were adjusted by the Kennesaw City Council April 16.

Among them are:

  • Alcoholic beverage license: $350 application fee to cover the cost of advertising twice, fingerprinting and background check.
  • Depot (available 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Sunday): $60, instead of $55, per hour for residents; $35/hour for nonprofits; $120/hour for nonresidents; $50 security deposit to be refunded if no problems; two-hour minimum for all rentals; 40, not 41, maximum capacity.
  • Depot Amphitheatre (available 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Sunday but not on city holidays, the evening before a holiday or during a city special event): $30/hour for residents, $50/hour for nonresidents, two-hour minimum for all rentals, 60 maximum capacity.
  • Electric Charging Station (Revival parking deck and Adams Park): 85 cents/hour for the first four hours, $4/hour after four hours, $10 maximum/day.
  • Yard sale permit: free but no more than three days in succession and no more than three weekends per calendar year.
  • Farmers Market fee: $25 application fee and $5 weekly fee.
  • Museum venue supply rental: $10/table linen (black or white), $5/black table runner, $50/caterer's room drape (white/black), $3/round glass mirror centerpiece.
