Torrential rain and cold temps have taken their toll on plans for a ceremonial groundbreaking for the Peachtree Corners Veterans Monument. The event, previously scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Nov. 15, has been postponed.

According to Peachtree Corners Veterans Monument Association (PCVMA), the Monument will feature a 2,500 square-foot plaza, seven sculptures, and a central pillar topped by an eagle atop the globe to represent the presence of the U.S. Armed Forces across the world. The sculptures represent each of the Armed Forces and Federal Military Reserve components.

A new date for the ceremony will be released as soon as available. Information: www.ptcvets.net.
