A backhoe, a forklift, a couple of tractors, 15 pickup trucks and more than two dozen automobiles are among the items declared surplus by Forsyth County government and going on the auction block Saturday, Nov. 3.

Evans Auctioneers will start the bidding at 10 a.m. at 843 Canton Highway, Cumming. Lawn mowers, office furniture, shop tools, exercise equipment, trailers and a boat also will be offered, among other items.

“The auction is always a great way for residents to purchase county surplus items at reasonable prices and the county will no longer need to pay to store those items,” said Donna Kukarola, Forsyth director of procurement.

Goods will be available for inspection from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, and from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov 3. Successful bidders must pay for and remove their purchases the day of the event; all sales are final and "as is."
