Woman arrested after DeKalb man lured to his death, cops say

Justuss Rogers, a 26-year-old selling cellphones out of his Chevrolet Camaro, was dropping a customer off in October when he pulled up to gunfire.

His customer, riding in the passenger’s seat, had asked him to drop her off on Pinnacle Drive off South Hairston Road in DeKalb County. Someone named “Snake” had asked her to request the drop-off. When they arrived, a teen started shooting into the Camaro, according to police records released Wednesday.

Shamar Davis, 17, of Stone Mountain, is charged with murder in the Oct. 23 shooting. He was arrested this week. Arrest warrants allege he stole several boxes of phones after shooting Rogers several times.

Co-defendant Lakoaia Johnson, 20, of Atlanta was arrested Thursday.

Rogers tried to drive away from the shooter before crashing his car. He was later pronounced dead at the the hospital.
