Atlanta police are asking for the public’s help in identifying three suspects in connection with an alleged attempted robbery and shooting.
Officers responded to a person shot call at the Texaco Gas Station at 3263 Donald Lee Hollowell Pkwy NW at about 7:45 p.m. on Christmas.
A 28-year-old man was leaving the convenience store when he was approached by a man in a black jacket, police said. The suspect allegedly pointed a gun at the victim in an attempted robbery and then shot him several times as the victim fled on foot.
The victim ran to the nearby Petro Stopping Center with two shots to the leg and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, according to police.
The victim told police he went inside to buy water for his wife and five-month-old baby, who were at the gas station when he was shot, according to a Dec. 25 incident report.
Police released a video, which is said to show the suspects as well as the victim running from the shooter.
Anyone with information in the case may call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. All callers can remain anonymous and are eligible for a cash reward up to $2,000 if their tip leads to an arrest and indictment.
