A child’s trip to a Cobb County school nurse led to the arrest of a Powder Springs man, police said.
Tmon Hall, 31, spent about 12 hours in jail after being booked late Tuesday on a felony child cruelty charge, Cobb jail records show.
Hall hit the child across the thigh with an extension cord, leaving a large welt, according to a police warrant.

The welt was discovered when the child asked the school nurse for ice, the warrant said.
The child’s mother, who is listed as living with Hall, told police that she saw the hit.
Hall bonded out for $2,970, according to jail records.
