The Atlanta Hawks Foundation has expressed interest in installing an outdoor basketball court intended to benefit youth in the College Park community. One of the specific areas up for consideration is the current tennis court area within the Bill Badgett stadium complex on College Street.

For examination and input, a public meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Oct. 9 at the Public Safety Complex community room, 3717 College Street. The purpose is primarily to inform property owners within 500 feet of the proposed area, but all residents are invited.

The Hawks have previously provided funding for revitalizing or building several courts in Atlanta including one in Grant Park, Welcome All Park and William Walker rec center.
