About 9:50 a.m., MCS said on Facebook that all of its schools will be released two hours early.

“Our team has been monitoring the roads and our school facilities since early this morning – admittedly, all reports within the city limits look good,” Marietta schools said. “However, we are sensitive to how early release in surrounding counties impacts our staff with children in neighboring school districts.”

Kennesaw State University also said it will close its campus early Friday, interrupting finals week.

Cobb road crews are focusing on slick roads in the northwest part of the county.
