The Cobb County Board of Education has awarded $101,548,000 in construction contracts for three schools, including performing arts and athletic spaces for Walton High School to complete its construction. Courtesy of WaltonHigh.org

Construction contracts of $101,548,000 were awarded April 19 by the Cobb County Board of Education for new schools:

  • Harrison High School Gym and Theater: Carroll Daniel Construction of Gainesville, Georgia for $22,318,000 to be completed by June 2019.
  • Walton High School performing arts and athletic spaces to complete the construction of the new school: Evergreen Construction of Atlanta for $31,735,000 to be completed by November 2019.
  • Osborne High School rebuild: Carroll Daniel Construction of Gainesville, Georgia for $47,495,000 to be completed by August 2020.

Funding will come from the special purpose local option sales tax.
