Amending lease agreements for cell towers was approved Aug. 16 by the Cobb County Board of Education to increase revenue by 15 to 20 percent.

Crown Castle maintains the cell towers at Mabry Middle School, 2700 Jims Road, Marietta and Cheatham Hill Elementary School, 1350 John Ward Road SW, Marietta.

Cobb County School District and T-Mobile South entered into cell tower lease agreements in 2008 at these schools.

These lease agreements will expire Nov. 14, 2023.

Lease agreements for these two sites will be extended with new revenue terms that will increase by 15 to 20 percent.
