Atlanta’s Ritz-Carlton to debut new ‘reimagined’ modern guest rooms

The Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta is getting a bit of a makeover this year.

The hotel announced “a full guestroom reimagination” inspired by the capital city, “the Hollywood of the South.”

“Atlanta is our muse, and the hotel continues to evolve out of the unparalleled lifestyle around us,” general manager Erwin Schinnerl, said in a news release. “The design is infused with a fervent sense of place, providing a modern backdrop for a vibrant new era of luxury travelers discovering our city.”

The new classic interiors of the guest rooms will feature designs from Jenny Holt from Remington, who incorporated elements of Atlanta throughout. Guests will notice lush greens and sky blues inspired by a sunny day out in Piedmont Park as well as the steel purples and silvers of surrounding architecture.

Pieces from local artist Erin Palovick will also adorn the walls.

All guest room bathrooms will have inlayed lit mirrors and calming tones of blue and lavender. King guest rooms will see an upgrade with a marble walk-in shower and floating vanity behind a rolling barn door.

A reimagined Club Lounge will also be expanded for ample entertainment and dining seating.

“The reimagination is especially poignant as The Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta is the longest operating hotel in the brand, and was the second property to open in the United States during a time when the city was boldly carving out its new identity,” according to the news release.

The new “reimaginations,” which will be complete in the coming months, are part of the final phase of the luxury hotel’s transformation. In 2017, the hotel unveiled its Wellness Level and dining transformations, including a redesign of the AG steakhouse’s menu and the launch of a new cocktail program.
