A popular LifeLine Animal Project event, Healthy Pets Fulton, returns this weekend to assist pet owners in underserved communities.
Free services and items will be provided to pet owners, including vaccinations provided by veterinarians, microchipping, county pet registration, dog and cat food, collars, leashes and vouchers for free spay/neuters to use at LifeLine’s Spay & Neuter Clinics.
The event typically draws more than 450 people who wait in line, with many showing up a couple hours early, spokeswoman Karen Hirsch said. It takes place Saturday at Washington Park, 102 Ollie St. NW, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

These resources “prevent unplanned litters and decrease the number of animals ending up in shelters,” LifeLine CEO Rebecca Guinn said in a press release.
