The Alpharetta City Council has awarded a $310,984 contract to repair and maintain bridges at seven sites in the city.

Massana Inc. submitted the lowest of eight bids for the job, according to a staff report to the council. The city’s Department of Public Works worked with its engineering consultant AECOM to prepare plans and specifications calling for concrete work, cleaning and sealing, clearing vegetation and other tasks.

The bridges are McGinnis Ferry Road over Big Creek; the westbound lanes of Windward Parkway over Camp Creek; Webb Bridge Road over Big Creek; the westbound lanes of Windward over Big Creek; the eastbound lanes of Mansell Road over Foe Killer Creek; the westbound lanes of Mansell over Big Creek; and Kimball Bridge Road over Big Creek.

The work is to be completed no more than 60 days from the notice to proceed, staff said.
