"This is like our Super Bowl Sunday," Allison Altobelli, director of advertising sales at The AJC, said of the annual newspaper tradition.

The AJC's printing plant in Gwinnett has processed more than 15 million sales fliers and circulars.

According to Altobelli, the average paper in metro Atlanta this year will weigh roughly four pounds and will feature up to 45 sale inserts from a variety of retailers.
