WSB-TV to moderate Atlanta mayoral forum Thursday at Emory

The League of Women Voters is also hosting the event from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday

Jocelyn Dorsey, director of editorials and public affairs at Channel 2 Action News, will moderate an Atlanta mayor’s forum Thursday at Emory University.

The 7 p.m. event, which the TV station will livestream on its website, is being hosted by the school, the League of Women Voters of Georgia and the League of Women Voters of Atlanta-Fulton County. It will be held at Emory’s Glenn Memorial Auditorium.

Thirteen people are vying to succeed Kasim Reed as Atlanta's mayor. Reed, who is in second term, is term-limited and will leave office in early January. The candidates will field questions on a variety of topics and issues

Doors will open at 6 p.m. for the public to attend a meet-and-greet session with the candidates. The doors will close at 6:45 p.m. so the program can begin at 7 p.m. and end at 9 p.m.

Emory President Claire E. Sterk will welcome the candidates and Tracy Adkison, president of the League of Women Voters of Georgia’s board, will outline the program.
