Atlanta's Central Library is slated to close for renovations this summer, but what, exactly, will be done to the building is still a matter of debate.
The Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System has proposed an upgrade that would add more glass to the Brutalist, concrete building that was the last designed by famed architect Marcel Breuer. Some preservationists have called foul.
The library system is holding a public meeting Tuesday to get feedback about the plan. Additionally, an online survey can be filled out through Monday at https://fultoncountyga.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_1BpYsieXWu96Z0h
Results of the survey will be shared at the meeting Tuesday, where people will also have a chance to talk to designers and offer additional feedback.
The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium at Central Library, One Margaret Mitchell Square in Atlanta.
