Fulton County adds more new residents than anywhere in metro Atlanta

Which metro Atlanta counties had the highest growth from 2017-18?

Fulton County has added more residents in the past year than any other county in metro Atlanta, new data from the Atlanta Regional Commission shows.

From April 2017 to April 2018, 17,570 moved to Fulton County, according to the ARC — nearly a quarter of the 75,800 new residents in the 10-county metro area.

Gwinnett had the next-largest gain in residents, followed by DeKalb and Cobb counties.

The 10-county metro area has more than 4.55 million residents, up from 4.48 million in 2017. Fulton County has 1.02 million residents.
