DeKalb unveils sign for Michelle Obama Trail

DeKalb County held an official unveiling earlier this month of a sign renaming a 3.8-mile trail for former first lady Michelle Obama.

The trail, which is connected to Gresham Park, begins at 2946 Clifton Springs Road in Decatur near the Georgia State University- Perimeter College Campus.

DeKalb Commissioner Larry Johnson, who attended the Jan. 13 unveiling, spearheaded the effort in 2016 to rename the South River Trail after former President Barack Obama’s wife.
