Cobb County Commissioners are expected to vote Tuesday on a settlement with the Atlanta Braves over millions in disputed stadium costs.
The Braves have agreed to pay $1.5 million for water and sewer infrastructure, as well as $380,000 for signage, according to a statement from the county.
Cobb in turn will refund the Braves a “negotiated amount in project management costs.”
A spokesperson for the county said the amount had not been finalized as of Monday afternoon.
The Braves had demanded $4.6 million, including $500,000 in project management costs.
The county called the demand, which was issued after the county asked the team to pay for water and sewer, “retaliatory.”
The case will likely go to mediation if a settlement is not reached Tuesday.
