OneRace, an event focused on combating racism with a nondenominational religious message, will be held at Stone Mountain Park on Saturday.
Gospel artists like Tasha Cobbs, Travis Greene and United Pursuit will be featured during the service, which is divided among the themes of “healing and repentance,” “reconciliation,” “unity” and “justice.” The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“We believe a unity movement birthed out of love and prayer is God’s answer to the division of our culture,” the event website says. “God’s solution for a divided nation is a united church.”

Organizers say that over 1,000 young adults have signed up for the "Millennial Ascent" from the base of the mountain to its summit to start the day.
Anyone who plans to attend is encouraged to pre-register online. The OneRace event is free, but normal charges for parking and attractions apply. Lawn chairs and water are encouraged.
Stone Mountain has been the focus of protests, most recently by the NAACP, because of its carving depicting Confederate leaders. The park was once a meeting place for the Ku Klux Klan and hosted white power groups.
