They learned in the most tragic way the dangers of hazing. On Monday, they’re bringing their message to end the practice to Kennesaw State University.
Rae Ann Gruver and Evelyn Piazza, mothers whose sons died in hazing incidents, are scheduled to speak Monday evening at the Convocation Center on the university’s Kennesaw campus.
The event begins at 7 p.m. and is free to the public.
Gruver’s son, Maxwell, died in September 2017 after allegedly being forced to drink alcohol as part of a hazing ritual at Louisiana State University. Piazza’s son, Timothy, also died in 2017 after a hazing incident at Penn State University.
