Metro Atlanta teachers will have a chance to pose with the College Football Playoff National Championship Trophy during a Saturday event for teachers hosted by the College Football Playoff Foundation. Teachers with a valid school ID can attend the no-cost Extra Yard for Teachers Lounge, which runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Georgia World Congress Center Building A.
The 26.5-inch gold, bronze and stainless steel trophy will be presented after Monday’s championship game in Atlanta to either Alabama or Georgia, but first it will be on display for photo opportunities with teachers between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Other scheduled lounge activities include chair massages, a game room, and an 11 a.m. appearance by Rachel Lindsay from the TV dating show “The Bachelorette.”
Advance registration is suggested so attendees can bypass the ticket booth at the event and proceed to security. Reserve a spot at the Extra Yards website here.
