Halloween weather: Here’s the forecast for Halloween in Atlanta

Meteorologist Karen Minton has your Tuesday morning weather forecast.

With the stormy weather and chilly days not too far in the rear view, some metro Atlanta parents may wonder what Wednesday's weather will be like as they pound the pavement for trick-or-treating Halloween night.

The weather later in the week could include tornadoes, strong winds and possible severe storms, but the threat and timing are “somewhat uncertain,” said Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz.

As for Halloween, those planning to trot through Atlanta for candy in their best “Fortnite,” “Black Panther” or −keeping it trés chic and traditional − Disney princess costumes will do so in mild conditions. Wednesday will be partly cloudy with a high of 76 and a low of 52. There’s currently no chance of precipitation.

When most trick-or-treaters begin their candy grab about 7 p.m., Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Karen Minton expects temperatures to be in the lower 70s. By 9 p.m., temperatures should still be in the upper 60s.

“It’s going to be nice for us during the day tomorrow for Halloween, although clouds will begin to increase as we go through Wednesday,” she said.
