An earthquake rumbled through a Montana county Tuesday morning while students were practicing for such an event, KULR reported.
Belgrade High School Principal Paul Lamb said all schools in the district were conducting earthquake drills when a 3.3 magnitude earthquake hit Gallatin County, the television station reported.
According to the USGS website, the earthquake began at 10:46 a.m. and originated 1 kilometer northwest of Manhattan and 5 kilometers below the earth's surface.
Residents in Belgrade reported feeling the tremor, but no damage was reported, KULR reported.
