The Philadelphia Eagles were preparing to play the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, but two diehard fans had their own game plan.

Frank Renna and Brandi Kern of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania were married in Lot M outside Lincoln Financial Field moments before kickoff, WTXF reported. The Eagles pep band was on hand to provide the wedding music, and the minister wore a referee's uniform.

“I figured if everything goes wrong, you’re still at an Eagles game. So, it can’t be a bad wedding,” Renna told the television station.

In addition to her wedding attire, Kern carried a football instead of flowers and danced through the parking lot holding a football.

"This is absolutely the most unique wedding I've ever done," Joe Sheridan, of the Philly Wedding Company, told WTXF.

“When he told me what he was planning, I couldn’t believe it. It came out beautiful,” said friend Glenn Chookolingo.

After being pronounced husband and wife, the newlyweds went into the stadium to watch the game. And while the Eagles would lose 21-17 to the Panthers, it did not put a damper on the wedding ceremony.

"It was so much more emotional than I thought it would be with the wind and family and random strangers. I'm so happy," new bride Brandi Kern Renna told WTXF.
