The suspect also threw merchandise at a clerk at the Gwinnett County store, police said.

A woman who allegedly hit a clerk at a beauty store in a dispute over merchandise has been arrested.

Mellissa Taynay Roper, who lists a Brooklyn, N.Y., address, was booked into the Gwinnett County jail Tuesday on a battery charge, records show.

Surveillance video from the Venus Beauty Supply in Duluth showed a woman throwing a couple of punches at a clerk when she left the store last month, The  Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Roper allegedly was upset over the price of a hair weave, and earlier had thrown the merchandise at an employee — who threw it right back at her, as the video showed.
