This damaged laptop was part of the loss suffered by a Gwinnett County woman who advertised a car for sale on Craigslist.

It began when a Gwinnett County woman advertised a car for sale on Craigslist.

When it all ended, the woman had been robbed at gunpoint in her home, was out $4,000, had a laptop and television damaged, and had a bruised lip, Channel 2 Action News reported.

“I believed they will kill me,” she said.

Her biggest mistake? Listing her home address.

Things went south from the start. When two men came to her door on Bowers Point Drive, the victim, who asked that her name be withheld, told them the car was not there, Channel 2 reported.

One of the men pulled a gun, and they pushed their way into the house.

“They started to ask me for money,” she said, speaking through a translator, “and because I didn’t understand them very well, they were very angry with me.”

The men went through her family’s belongings, tossing a laptop and a TV on the floor. They found $4,000 the family had saved and hidden in a drawer, according to the news station.

Then they left, with a parting shot.

“Before they left my home,” the victim said, “one of them hit me in the face and told me I don’t have to call the police.”

As for the police, they say they have little to go on.

“They both had on long pants, they both had gray shirts on,” Cpl. Edwin Rundles said. “One had multiple tattoos on his arms, and they were both wearing gloves.”

The victim has a lasting impression of the ordeal.

“I was really scared,” she said.
