About 4:30 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to the shooting in the 500 block of Old Friar Tuck Road near Stone Mountain. Police found 18-year-old Nicholas Glasco “critical and slightly conscious,” Campbell said.

According to an arrest warrant obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Dunkley shot Glasco in the chest with a 9mm Luger.

Dunkley initially said Glasco shot himself, but later admitted he shot Glasco and hid the gun, according to the warrant.

Glasco was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

Glasco’s grandmother told Channel 2 Action News the young man's mother is inconsolable. She said her grandson was kind and a hard worker. He was set to graduate in May.

“He never went out and hung out in the streets,” said his grandmother, who asked not to be identified. “He was a homebody.”
