It was bad enough when people dumped garbage into a particular southwest Atlanta neighborhood.
But a contractor working on a house on Elixir Avenue last week found three decapitated goats in a backyard, Channel 2 Action News reported.
Police said someone killed the goats somewhere else, then dumped the bodies behind the house.
“Somebody had a ceremony,” contractor Joe Radford said, “and it's just like back in the day when you brought the lambs to the Lord.”
Officers who responded said it will be up to the property owner to remove the carcasses.
However, an animal activist who heard about the situation came to the site and removed the dead animals, Channel 2 reported.
Good thing, because Radford and his workers think the foul smell could’ve only gotten worse for the neighbors.
“Sooner or later they’re going to start smelling,” he said. “It's gonna get hot.”

Resident Robby Caban already was concerned about illegal trash dumping in the area before this incident.
“I would hope our government would be responsive in this disconnect,” she said.
