Police are looking for a group of four who left behind scooters and a bicycle after a shooting Tuesday on a busy downtown Atlanta street, Channel 2 Action News reported.
The four confronted the 21-year-old victim outside the Yumm Teriyaki restaurant on Peachtree Street about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Atlanta police told the news station. The man was shot multiple times and ran nearly two blocks down Martin Luther King Jr. Drive before he collapsed.
He was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition.
Police found two rental scooters and a bicycle abandoned near the crime scene. The group was seen on the restaurant’s surveillance footage riding down the street before approaching the 21-year-old, Atlanta police Capt. Reginald Moorman told Channel 2.
“Upon looking at the video, the shooter was actually on foot,” he said.
