A man was arrested for shooting out a window of a police car in Henry County.

A man was arrested for shooting out a window of a police car in Henry County.

A man who allegedly shot out the window of a police car while wearing a T-shirt that said “Team Jesus” is in custody, a spokesman said.

Paul Jason Mikell, 41, of Stockbridge, was arrested April 11, Henry County police Capt. Joey Smith said.

Mikell shot out the window March 24 just before midnight at a package store on Highway 138 in Stockbridge, police said.

After police issued a public lookout, Smith said several tipsters contacted officers and named Mikell as a possible suspect. After detectives got a warrant, the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office assisted in locating Mikell at a home on Fountain Circle, Smith said.

Mikell is charged with interference with government property, police said. He has bonded out of the Henry County jail.
