Man found shot behind SW Atlanta home

Police are trying to figure out how a man ended up behind a southwest Atlanta home with gunshot wounds to the thigh and buttocks.

Atlanta police arrived at the scene in the 1400 block of Avon Avenue early Tuesday morning after getting a report of a shooting in the area, Capt. Reginald Moorman told Channel 2 Action News.

While the man was alert, he was not cooperative, according to police. Authorities did discover a blood trail that led to a window at the home, but no one was inside the residence, Channel 2 reported.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call police.
