Man allegedly throws rocks at cars for 5 hours on new Cobb toll lanes

A man was arrested for allegedly throwing rocks and other objects at cars on the Northwest Corridor Express Lanes for about five hours on Monday, authorities confirmed.

Jesse Lemar Tolbert, 40, of Emerson, was arrested by Georgia State Patrol after admitting to troopers he was throwing objects onto the express lanes in an attempt to get arrested, GSP spokeswoman Tracey Watson told AJC.com.

He was on an elevated part of the Windy Hill Exit Ramp which overlooks the express lanes, Watson said. He allegedly struck a Toyota Venza’s windshield with a rock or metal object.
