Man accused of ‘repeated sexual contact’ with child

A Hall County man is facing several charges, including aggravated child molestation and aggravated sodomy.

Hall County authorities have arrested a Gainesville man after he allegedly had “repeated sexual contact” with a child.

Russell Spangler Lowry, 53, engaged in the sexual contact from 2014 to 2016, spokesman Stephen Wilbanks of the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Lowry is charged with aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, felony sexual battery and enticing a child for indecent purposes, Wilbanks said.

The suspect is in the Hall County Jail. The investigation continues.
