A Henry County man was sentenced to 15 years in prison Friday after pleading guilty to molesting two girls inside a Stockbridge home.

Authorities said Edgar Erick Tinoco-Jiminez, 30, molested the girls, who ranged in age from 3 to 7,  between 2012 and 2013.

The children’s mother reported the abuse to police after learning about the incidents in 2017,  the Henry County District Attorney’s office said in a release.

Tinoco-Jiminez was ordered to serve five years on probation after completing his prison sentence, register as a sex offender for life and have no contact with his victims.

“This outcome brings justice to this family,” Henry County DA Darius Pattillo said. “These children suffered tremendously and their family was pleased that the defendant was held accountable for his actions and the girls did not have to testify at trial.”

Tinoco-Jiminez also has pending immigration proceedings, according to the DA.
