Gunman threatened to kill man at student apartment complex

Athens police are looking for a man who held a victim at gunpoint at a student apartment complex and stole $120 from him, according to a media report.

Police say the 20-year-old was walking to The Flats complex, located near the University of Georgia campus, when he was robbed at gunpoint, the Athens Banner-Herald reported.

The man held the gun between the victim’s eyes for 30 seconds as he threatened to kill him if he didn’t give up all he had, the newspaper reported.

The victim handed over all of his money, ran out of the apartment complex and into Oak Street, where he was nearly hit by a police van that was carrying prisoners.

Police searched for the alleged gunman, described as 6 foot, 2 inches tall, with a deep voice and short thick dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a Young Thug T-shirt that had the rapper in green dreadlocks.
