A former actor was granted bond Monday morning after a judge set aside a guilty verdict and granted him a new trial on a child molestation charge, court officials confirmed to AJC.com.

Corey Sligh of Canton was granted a $22,000 bond with conditions that he must live with his parents in Cherokee County and wear an ankle monitor by Judge David Cannon, officials said.

Sligh was previously convicted of one count of child molestation and cleared of another by a jury June 28, AJC.com previously reported.

He was first arrested in October 2016 after parents of the victim, who was under the age of 10, reported the alleged molestation. It took place between April and September of that year, according to a police report.

Nearly a month after Sligh’s arrest in that case, officials in Walton County, Fla., arrested him on similar charges. He has not gone to trial in that case.

Sligh allegedly touched the same girl while she was vacationing with her family on Rosemary Beach in June and July of 2016, according to media reports. The girl also told authorities Sligh forced her to touch him inappropriately.

Authorities were notified of that incident in September 2016, and Sligh was ordered to wear an ankle monitor following that arrest.

Sligh was an extra on the long-running CBS soap opera, "The Young and the Restless," according to online entertainment site TMZ. He also appeared in a short-lived TV show, "All About Lizzie," according to his IMDb page.
