Two people from Atlanta are facing identity fraud and other charges, accused of stealing mail from mailboxes in northeast Georgia.
Tiffany Alexandria Allen, 32, and Antonio Santez Sanders, 20, are charged with 16 counts of theft by receiving, 15 counts of identity fraud, six counts of theft by taking, third-degree forgery and giving false names and birth dates to law enforcement, Jackson County Sheriff Janis Mangum said in a news release.
The reported mail thefts were in the Hoschton area, Mangum said.
“The vehicle was stopped and the investigation led to the discovery of numerous fraudulent checks, stolen identities, and evidence of identity theft from numerous victims,” Mangum said in the release.
Both suspects are in the Jackson County Jail.
