A man is on the run after he barricaded himself in a southwest Atlanta home Wednesday and shot at a woman, authorities said

Atlanta police said the suspect stole the woman’s cellphone, shot at her and ran to a nearby home.

“The female was not injured as a result of the shot that was fired,” Atlanta police Officer Stephanie Brown said.

But when officers entered the home in the 8000 block of T.P. Burruss Sr. Drive hours later, they discovered the man was not inside.

“Articles of clothing said to have been worn by the suspect was recovered in the wood line behind the home,” Brown said.

A SWAT team entered the home on a search warrant, but did not find a weapon.

The scene was clear by 7:45 p.m.

Police have not released a description of the suspect.
