Hours after an 18-year-old was shot and killed on a Gwinnett County basketball court, a 31-year-old man surrendered on murder and aggravated assault charges in connection with the incident.
According to Channel 2 Action News, witnesses told investigators Robert Jennings and Ezekial Smith were arguing over a football Wednesday night at the Smokecreek mobile home park on Smokecreek Parkway in unincorporated Snellville.

Jennings allegedly pulled out a gun and started shooting.
“He shot one time before he left,” a witness told Channel 2. “And he took his kids and everything with him, and then he came back.”
Smith was shot multiple times, the news station reported.
“I just heard gunshots,” Quentin Wearwood told Channel 2. “I ran down and it was my friend on the ground.”
Smith had been taken to an area hospital before officers arrived around 8:30 p.m, according to police. He died on the way to the hospital, Channel 2 reported. His brother was reportedly injured during the assault, too.
Jennings had already fled the scene. He turned himself in at police headquarters Thursday morning, Gwinnett police Sgt. Jake Smith said in a statement.
“Detectives believe there are additional witnesses who have not come forward,” he said in the statement.
