Kevin Sosebee, a documented member of the Ghost Face Gangsters, was captured in Carroll County, the Cobb sheriff’s office said.

A Cobb County police officer was sitting in his patrol car when three shots rang out, according to new details outlined in an arrest warrant.

All of them were aimed at the officer, who spotted “suspicious activity” involving the shooter and another man about 1:20 a.m. Tuesday. The gunfire erupted after the officer tried to stop the vehicle in the 6200 block of Mableton Parkway, Cobb sheriff’s spokesman Glenn Daniel said.

Kevin Sosebee, a documented Ghost Face Gangsters member and the alleged shooter, sped away from the scene with Steve Swofford and abandoned the car on Venetian Way in south Cobb, officials said.  Swofford was found later that day and booked into the Cobb County Detention Center, according to jail records.

Authorities received a tip that Sosebee was hiding in a trailer on Pope Road in Carroll County, Daniel said. They eventually found him Friday at a gas station on U.S. 27 after a chase.

Sosebee, 27, was taken to the Cobb jail, where he was being held Monday without bond. He faces charges of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and aggravated assault in the officer’s assault. He also faces two counts of probation violation.
